A man learns his sentence for stealing guns from a local business and leading troopers on a high-speed chase.
Jack Wodke found out Monday he will spend the next eight years in federal prison. He pleaded guilty last June.
Prosecutors say the Wright City man stole guns from Crane’s Country Store in Williamsburg on Dec. 19, 2017. He threatened a MoDot employee at a nearby building with a gun the next day, then left in a stolen pickup.
Wodke, 25, slammed the pickup into a deputy’s SUV at one point before wrecking in a Callaway County bean field.
A trooper crashed while chasing Wodke and had to go to the hospital.
