A central Columbia shooting victim has died from his injuries, and the suspected shooter is still on the run.
Police say Corey Jordan was shot at about 8 p.m. Tuesday in Douglass Park near North Providence and Worley. Jordan, 51, later died at a hospital.
Prosecutors charged Rickey Lee Murry, 48, with first-degree murder in connection to the shooting. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Two cop cars crashed into each other on Walnut Street downtown while responding to Tuesday night’s shooting. CPD says all three officers involved have minor injuries.
