A Columbia man will admit to his role in a deadly 2019 crash.
The attorney for Lukas Evans tells ABC 17 he and prosecutors have reached a plea deal in the case.
Police said Evans tried to pass someone in a no-pass zone on West Boulevard on Feb. 16, 2019, hitting Jordan Hoyt’s car head-on. The 37-year-old Hoyt died.
Evans, 22, is charged with second degree murder and leaving the scene of an accident. He is scheduled to make his plea on Dec. 8.
