McCloskey couple charged for pulling guns at protest

The husband and wife who showed guns outside their mansion during protests in St. Louis are now facing charges.

Mark and Patricia McCloskey were charged with felony unlawful use of a weapon on Monday. Prosecutor Kim Gardner says it was wrong for them to wave their weapons in a threatening manner at nonviolent protesters marching to the mayor’s home on June 28.

But Gov. Parson and other Missouri Republicans say the McCloskeys did nothing illegal.

“They had every right to protect their property, their home, just like any of us would,” Parson said on Hannity on Monday night. “If you had a mob coming towards you, whether they tore down a gate or not, when they come on your property they don’t have a right to do that in an aggressive manner.”

Parson says he would probably pardon the McCloskeys if they were convicted.
