McGreevy shines as Cardinals beat Brewers 5-1 Wednesday night at Busch

The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Brewers 5-1 Wednesday evening at Busch Stadium, snapping a four-game losing streak.

Cardinal pitcher Michael McGreevy was outstanding and improves to 4-7 on the year. He had six strikeouts and was able to navigate out of a bases-loaded situation in the game’s first inning.

The Cardinals had home runs from Jose Fermin and Alec Burleson and had RBI doubles from Jordan Walker and Burleson. St. Louis, which improves to 48-43 this season, is now nine-and-a-half games behind first-place Milwaukee in the National Leage Central.
