The 95th annual Memorial Day wreath-laying ceremony will take place on Memorial Day morning at the Boone County Courthouse in downtown Columbia.
Monday morning’s ceremony begins at 9 at the plaza, at Eighth and Walnut. That’s just in front of the courthouse.
Columbia’s community band and the Boone County Fire Protection District Pipe and Drums will provide the music, and the American Legion Post 202 honor guard will perform the salute.
The event is open to the public. American Legion members are encouraged to wear their Legion caps.
