Mexico man allegedly caught with drugs, stolen items

Audrain County authorities say a Mexico man had a lot of naughty stuff in his backpack.

Joseph Lovell, 36, allegedly drove away from a traffic stop for a bit before stopping on Quisenberry Street on Thursday at about 5 p.m. Investigators say he had illegal drugs, other people’s social security cards, and a stolen gun in the backpack.

Lovell is now in jail.
