A six-year-old boy from the Lake of the Ozarks who’s been missing for months has been found safe.
Both the mother, Aubrey Ferguson of Camdenton, and her boyfriend were arrested Tuesday after detectives got a search warrant for their house on Highway N in Laclede County.
Police say Ferguson and her boyfriend were hiding the child in an attic crawl space that was nailed shut.
Braedence has since been returned to his father. Ferguson is being held on a warrant for child abduction out of Camden County.
Authorities put out an endangered person advisory last October for Braedence Jones. They said his non-custodial mother had apparently refused to take Braedence back to his father after a visit.
