Mizzou won its second straight in the Braggin’ Rights series, topping Illinois 63-56 in St. Louis on Saturday.
The Tiger defense forced 17 Illini turnovers, and only allowed 26 percent shooting in the second half.
Dru Smith scored 19 points for Mizzou. Illinois natives Javon Pickett and Xavier Pinson added 17 and 14 points respectively.
Mizzou (7-4) has won three straight.
