A steel company in southeast Missouri has dropped off a million nails in Jefferson City to help with rebuilding from the May tornado.
Susan Cook-Williams with Habitat for Humanity says many families are still trying to bounce back.
“Missouri is ranked 41st in the nation for housing affordability, and the tornado that raged through our town back in May just kind of ripped open a wound that has made that even worse,” Cook-Williams said to Missourinet.
Mid Continent Steel and Wire from Poplar Bluff brought the semi full of nails on Thursday.
