Missouri COVID-19 cases jump to over 1,300

The state counted more than 250 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 Wednesday.

The state reports there are now 1,581 cases across Missouri, up from Tuesday’s count of 1,327. Four more people have died relating to the virus, for a total of 18.

The total confirmed positives in Missouri eclipsed 1,000 Monday.

The most COVID-19 positives in mid-Missouri still come out of Boone County. There are 66 cases as of Tuesday afternoon. 24 patients have recovered, but one died. Callaway County announced its 17th case Wednesday. Six of them have recovered. Cole County has 25 confirmed positive cases, with five recoveries.

Osage County announced its second positive Tuesday. Cooper County confirmed its second case Monday, and it’s not travel-related.
