Missouri delegation votes along party lines on impeachment

Missouri’s U.S. House delegation voted along party lines Wednesday during the second impeachment of President Trump. That means local Republican representatives like Vicky Hartzler and Blaine Luetkemeyer voted against it.

“This latest push by Speaker Pelosi and Democrats to impeach a duly-elected president seven days shy of leaving office does nothing to bridge this gap or work towards President-elect Biden’s declared ‘Unity’ message, instead further dividing our nation,” Rep. Hartzler said in a statement released Wednesday.

President Trump faces an impeachment charge of incitement of insurrection tied to the deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol last week.
