Boone County presiding commissioner Kip Kendrick has told 939 the Eagle that Schneider Electric will invest $53-million in manufacturing equipment, which would allow them to add a significant amount of manufacturing lines. He says they also plan to invest about $20-million in additional warehouse space. The 241 new jobs will pay above Boone County’s average wage, which means the jobs will pay more than $48,000.

Columbia/Boone County taxing jurisdictions have approved Chapter 100 tax abatement for Schneider Electric. Mr. Kendrick notes there is strong demand for products made in that Columbia plant.
