Lawmakers are getting right back after the FRA extension Tuesday morning.
The House takes up the special session issue in a budget hearing. The federal dollars need to be renewed to provide crucial Medicaid funding.
Jefferson City Rep Dave Griffith worries about the Governor’s threats of budget cuts if something doesn’t happen.
“Our own Lincoln University [is] looking at $4.1 million that they’re going to lose if [the governor] has to re-adjust the budget,” said Griffith. “One of the first places they go is education.”
Senators passed their version of the FRA renewal after a ten-hour weekend session.
