Bipartisan legislation involving computer science in elementary and secondary schools has received unanimous initial approval this week from the Missouri House.
The House has voted 145-0 to approve a bill from State Rep. Travis Fitzwater (R-Holts Summit), which would establish the computer science education task force. The aim of the task force would be to develop a state strategic plan for expansion of computer science education programs statewide.
Fitzwater’s House Bill 2202 now heads to a rules committee. It will need one more House vote, before heading to the Missouri Senate.
