The state of Missouri needs all the help it can get.
In a news release from the office of Governor Mike Parson, the state said its working to recruit all medical professionals that are not part of the current workforce.
A critical reserve unit will be created to focus on providing care in areas of high need.
The medical professionals would be a part of the Missouri Disaster Medical Assistance Team.
