Missouri sheriffs announce new group to promote views

Sheriffs from all over Missouri are making a new group to push their views to state lawmakers.

Missouri Sheriffs United will ask for changes to the state supreme court’s bail reforms, which make it easier for suspects to get out on bond. Sheriffs are also asking the state for millions of dollars in back payments, for housing state prisoners.

Sheriffs announced the new group at the Missouri Capitol in Jefferson City on Wednesday.
