Missouri Supreme Court upholds death sentence in Jefferson City murder

A man convicted of a Jefferson City murder loses his appeal in the state’s highest court.

David Hosier’s first-degree murder conviction was upheld unanimously by the Missouri Supreme Court Tuesday.

He got that sentence for murdering his girlfriend, Angela Gilpin in 2009.

Her estranged husband, Rodney Gilpin, was also found shot to death in the same apartment.

Hosier had been appealing the conviction, arguing that his lawyer did not do a good job and that the trial judge had a conflict of interest.
