Missouri Task Force 1 hit the road Thursday morning for Panama City, Florida, an area hit hard by Hurricane Michael.
Most of the sixteen Boone County-based emergency responders will focus on water rescues. One member is helping FEMA in Pensacola, Fla.
Linemen from the city of Columbia and Boone Electric Co-op are in the Southeast too, and will help to get the power back on.
