80 personnel from Columbia-based Missouri Task Force One are back on the ground on Wednesday morning near New Orleans, continuing with search operations following Hurricane Ida.

The team is conducting search, reconnaissance and needs assessments.
Boone County Fire Protection District assistant chief Gale Blomenkamp tells the Eagle that the team has 100,000 pounds of equipment with them. They have 11 vehicles, including six boats and three tractor trailers.
CNN reports Louisiana’s levees held, but the power grid did not. Louisiana officials say it could take a month to restore electricity in some areas.
