Missouri to pull out of pandemic-related federal unemployment programs Saturday

Starting Saturday, Missourians won’t get access to some federal unemployment benefits.

Gov. Mike Parson announced in May the state will stop accepting unemployment dollars from the feds relating to the coronavirus pandemic. He pointed to the current work shortage for Missouri businesses.

The benefits gave some Missourians an extra $300 a week. State benefits won’t be affected.
