State economic officials say February’s brutal weather is a key factor in why Missouri’s latest job numbers are good, but not great.
They reported on Wednesday that seasonally-adjusted unemployment was at 4.2% last month, slightly better than 4.3% in January.
That is a little worse than the 3.6% unemployment rate in February 2020, the last full month before the pandemic damaged the economy.
