Missouri’s 2026 legislative session begins Wednesday at high noon in Jefferson City, per the state Constitution.
Republicans will once again have large majorities in both chambers this session, 24-10 in the Missouri Senate and a 106-52 majority in the House. Today will mainly be ceremonial in both chambers.

The session will start to pick up steam on Tuesday, when Governor Mike Kehoe delivers his State of the State address to a joint session of the Legislature. The GOP governor will outline his legislative and budget priorities at that time.
