Governor Mike Kehoe and Columbia Mayor Barbara Buffaloe will speak at the 9:30 ceremony at the plant, which used to be called Square D. The expansion is expected to create 241 new jobs that will pay above Boone County’s average wage, which means the jobs will pay more than $48,000.

Missouri Department of Economic Development director Michelle Hataway tells 939 the Eagle that she also plans to attend the 9:30 am groundbreaking ceremony. Most of Columbia’s business leaders will be attending as well.
