Big crowds are expected at tomorrow’s (Saturday) sixth annual Parson Family fall festival at the Missouri governor’s mansion in Jefferson City.

The outdoor event is from 1-3 pm and will feature trick-or-treating, several vendors and bluegrass musical entertainment. The festival is free and open to the public, and no registration is required.

Governor Mike Parson encourages children 12 and under to wear their Halloween costumes. Missouri state parks, Jefferson City’s Runge Nature Center and the Magic House in St. Louis are just some of the vendors scheduled to attend. The festival will also include a bounce house and face painting.

Governor Mike Parson and First Lady Teresa Parson say it’s a fun way to kick off the fall season by celebrating with your family and friends. The popular local band the Kay Brothers will perform bluegrass music for everyone to enjoy.
