Missouri’s governor will be in Columbia Thursday morning to help cut the ribbon on a new lab at the MACC campus on the Business Loop.
Governor Parson will also help cut the ribbon on the new Mechatronics Center of Excellence at the same Parkade Center location. The expanded program at Moberly Area Community College’s Columbia campus prepares students to be technicians to troubleshoot and maintain equipment for 21st century manufacturing facilities.
A grant from the MoExcels Workforce initiative has helped to fund the new facility. The lab’s aim is to encourage entrepreneurship and develop skills.
Moberly Area Community College (MACC) President Jeff Lashley and Columbia Chamber of Commerce leaders will join the governor at the ceremony, which begins at 10.
