A Mizzou men’s basketball player has been arrested on suspicion of DWI, and allegedly possessing a suspended or revoked license.
Online records show Mitchell Smith, 20, was booked into Boone County Jail early Sunday morning.
“Per Mizzou Athletics’ department policy, Mitchell has been suspended from team activities for a minimum of one week,” a team spokesman said in a statement released Sunday morning.
Smith is a redshirt sophomore forward for the Tigers. He was averaging 2.4 points and 1.7 rebounds a game until he suffered a knee injury in a game against LSU on Jan. 4, 2017. He sat out the entire 2017-18 season while recovering.
