Mizzou football in top ten in latest college football playoff ranking; Gators in Columbia Saturday

The 8-2 Missouri Tigers have jumped five spots to #9 in the latest College Football Playoff (CFP) rankings that were unveiled Tuesday night on ESPN.

Mizzou dominated #13 Tennessee 36-7 on Saturday afternoon at sold-out Faurot Field. There are three  Southeastern Conference teams in the top ten: #1 Georgia, #8 Alabama and the ninth-ranked Tigers. Coach Eli Drinkwitz’s Tigers will battle the Florida Gators Saturday evening at Faurot on senior night. Kickoff is set for 6:30, and the game will be televised on ESPN.

Mizzou will finish the regular season on the Friday after Thanksgiving when they play at Arkansas.
