Mizzou has announced that its 2026 season opener has been moved from Saturday September 5 to Thursday September 3 at 7 pm. The game will be broadcast live nationally on the SEC Network. The season opener will also mark the official opening of the renovated north end zone concourse as part of the $250-million Memorial Stadium improvement project.

“Opening the season on a Thursday night in CoMo is becoming a great tradition for our program,” Coach Eli Drinkwitz says. He adds that Mizzou appreciates Arkansas-Pine Bluff and the SEC for working with them on the adjustment so Mizzou’s season opener can be broadcast nationally on the SEC Network.

Mizzou is 19-3 in the past three seasons at Faurot Field in Columbia.
