Robin Pingeton’s Mizzou women’s basketball team will face #5 Texas Thursday night at the Moody Center in Austin.
Missouri is 12-10 on the season, coming off Monday’s thrilling 78-77 win over Mississippi State. Tiger star Grace Slaughter hit a layup at the buzzer. The Grain Valley product scored a career-high 31 points in the game. Mizzou leads the Southeastern Conference in three-point field goal percentage, with 38 percent.
The Longhorns are 20-2 and are 6-1 in conference. Texas is led by two standouts: Madison Booker and Taylor Jones. They average 16 and 12 points a game, respectively.
