Mizzou wrestling is heading back to the Big 12 conference.
The UM Board of Curators approved the move Thursday. The Tigers will be an affiliate member of the Big 12 wrestling league starting next year, joining 11 other schools.
Mizzou left the Big 12 in all sports in 2012, with most programs relocating to the SEC. The wrestling team joined the MAC, and won the conference title in each of the following nine seasons.
The Tigers were ranked fifth in the country in the season-ending 2021 NWCA coaches’ poll.
