Columbia’s Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is encouraging Tiger football fans and others heading to Columbia for homecoming this weekend to book their hotel room as soon as possible, before rooms run out.
CVB spokeswoman Megan McConachie tells 939 the Eagle that there are a few hotel rooms available for tonight and tomorrow nights, adding that you’ll need to book rooms quickly. Mizzou’s Homecoming parade starts tomorrow morning at 9 in downtown Columbia, and you’re urged to wear black and gold. Mizzou’s 112th Homecoming game is tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 at sold-out Faurot Field, where the 20th ranked Tigers will battle standout quarterback Spencer Rattler and the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Greek town will be busy this evening between Rollins and Kentucky boulevard, for campus decorations. Participating houses will have interactive displays, and food trucks will be available. A homecoming spirit rally will take place at 8:30 this evening on Traditions Plaza, and Marching Mizzou and the Golden Girls will be making appearances.
