Mizzou officials briefed Columbia business leaders and elected officials about enrollment numbers during this week’s Columbia Regional Economic Development Incorporated (REDI) board meeting.
Mizzou is expecting 6,000 freshmen on-campus this fall, an 18 percent increase from a year ago.
Weather is expected to be sunny for today’s annual Paint the M event from 3-5 pm at Faurot Field in Columbia. The tradition dates to 1927, when the rocks were first placed on the hill. Mizzou officials note Paint the M gives incoming students an opportunity to meet their peers and to participate in a longstanding Mizzou tradition.
