Mo. Supreme Court denies challenge to Grain Belt

The Missouri Supreme Court denied a request to hear a case about a controversial high-voltage power line project, according to Missourinet.

A private company is set to run Grain Belt Express, a wind-energy out of Kansas, across our state. It will hit mid-Missouri north of Columbia in Chariton, Randolph, and Monroe counties.

Opponents say it is not right for the company to have eminent domain to put its large power poles on private property.

The Farm Bureau says it will still work with state lawmakers to not allow eminent domain for the project.
