Moberly police arrest man accused of threatening woman with hammer

A 23-year-old man is behind bars after he was accused of threatening a woman with a hammer.

Moberly police said when they arrived in the 500 block of Franklin Avenue, the man threatened at least one officer with the hammer then went into the residence.

Officers had to set up a perimeter but eventually the man surrendered.

Officials did not reveal the man’s name or what charges he was facing.
