MoDOT announces construction plan for new I-70 Rocheport bridge

The Missouri Department of Transportation released its plans for a new I-70 bridge over the Missouri River near Rocheport.

Officials said Monday they plan to start work on the new bridge in late 2021. They expect to finish by the end of 2024. The budgeted cost is around $240 million.

Nicknamed the ‘lynchpin of America,’ the current bridge has stood since 1960 and is currently rated in poor condition.
