MoDOT finishes key I-70 bridge project in Callaway County; project had been causing major backups

State transportation officials have completed a major $1.2 million rehabilitation project on an aging bridge on I-70, near Kingdom City.

The project led to a lane closure on westbound I-70, along with massive backups.

MoDOT says contractors have replaced the bridge’s guardrail and expansion joint and have rehabilitated the bearings.

The project is part of Governor Parson’s bipartisan $350-million bridge bonding program.
