A Columbia man charged with killing two women in May and hiding their bodies in a closet will be arraigned on Monday morning at the Boone County Courthouse.

A Boone County grand jury has indicted 51-year-old Randall Fox of Columbia on two counts of second degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action and felony tampering with physical evidence.

Boone County assistant prosecutor Susan Boresi describes Randall Fox as a flight risk in court filings, noting that Fox altered his appearance by shaving his beard and head hair after initial contact with Columbia Police. Prosecutor Boresi’s court filing says 77-year-old Marcia Hess and 50-year-old Sara Fox were shot at least once. The court filing says Randall Fox then wrapped the victims’ bodies in a tarp and hid them in a closet on Ridgemont drive. Marcia Hess was Sara Fox’s mother.

Randall Fox will be arraigned Monday morning at 8:30, before Boone County Circuit Judge Joshua Calvin Devine.
