Moniteau County Sheriff employees fired over Facebook posts

The Moniteau County Sheriff has fired two employees because of posts on their Facebook accounts.

Sheriff Tony Wheatley said Monday he learned about the posts by jailer Dillon Davenport and Lieutenant Kevin Morse on Saturday. They have both been let go.

Sheriff Wheatley did not go too in-depth about the posts, but said they were jokes made in poor taste. The posts apparently made fun of people with special needs. He has apologized to anyone affected.
