More than 9,400 Columbia Public Schools (CPS) students are back in the classroom for summer school.

CPS’ Michelle Baumstark says that represents more than half of the district’s regular school enrollment. Missouri’s fourth-largest district has about 19,000 students.
Ms. Baumstark says CPS offers a robust summer school program that includes enrichment and advancement opportunities for students. Driver’s education has returned for summer school offerings and CPS thanks Columbia Honda for providing the vehicles for the course.
What’s next: Summer school classes continue this week at CPS.
