Columbia’s city council could have more work sessions in the future, in an effort to make council meetings more efficient.
The council discussed the issue at their recent retreat at Old Kinderhook. Columbia spokeswoman Sydney Olsen tells 939 the Eagle that they discussed having work sessions on off Mondays to discuss larger items to help keep the council informed on pressing issues and to make council meetings more efficient. The regular Columbia city council meetings are on the first and third Mondays of the month.
The council also discussed communicating and governing together during the retreat.
