MU putting in-person classes on hold due to coronavirus concerns

Mizzou is putting a stop to in-person classes for a while due to novel coronavirus concerns.

MU announced it will suspend in-person classes from 5 p.m. Mar. 11 through Sunday, Mar. 15. Classes will be held remotely the week of Mar. 16. After spring break the following week, classes are expected to resume in-person on Monday, March 30.

All nonessential university events are cancelled until March 29. As of now, athletic events will continue as scheduled.

No one at Mizzou has tested positive for coronavirus as of Mar. 11. A group of journalism students was exposed to someone with the virus at a conference in New Orleans.

Lincoln University is extending its spring break through at least Mar. 20.
