MU not suspending in-person class as of now; Stephens to start semester online-only

The University of Missouri says it currently does not plan to delay the start of the spring semester or return to online classes due to COVID-19.

Stephens College announced this week they will offer only remote classes for the first two weeks of the semester.

The Southern Boone school district in Ashland is going virtual Thursday and Friday because too many staffers have tested positive or have to quarantine.

Health officials said Wednesday Boone County currently has 1,578 active coronavirus cases, which is the highest number for the county since the pandemic began.
