MU police will be the primary responder in more parts of Columbia.
The city council approved the deal on Monday night. It includes the “Greek Town” area of fraternities and sororities, some roads bordering the Mizzou campus, and places where the university has contracted with private apartment complexes for housing.
The idea is to have MUPD handle more issues in places with Mizzou students, instead of Columbia police.
