National Geospatial-Intelligence facility construction underway

North St. Louis hasn’t exactly been Missouri’s hottest economic spot.

That area is getting a huge boost, with construction starting there on the $1.7 billion National Geospatial-Intelligence facility center.

“I wouldn’t have ever thought it would ever come to this area. It’s been blighted for 30 years or more,” St. Louis committeeman Anthony Bell said to Missourinet. “We never would have thought this type of government funding would have come in.”

NGA is the hub of national digital and satellite intelligence for the U.S. See more about the new facility here.
