NCAA Tournament drought continues for Mizzou

It will be at least a dozen years between NCAA Tournament wins for Missouri men’s basketball.

The Tigers lost 72-68 in their first round matchup against Oklahoma on Saturday in Indianapolis.

Dru Smith finished with 20 points. Fellow Tiger senior Jeremiah Tilmon posted 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Mizzou ends the year 16-10. The Tigers lost seven of their last ten games.

“This year had a lot of things take place in it, on and off the court,” head coach Cuonzo Martin says. “I thought our guys did an admirable job of being professional, taking it as it comes, not complaining, not making excuses. So I’m really proud of those guys. They really matured.”

Mizzou has not won an NCAA Tournament game since 2010.
