New additions to Columbia, Boone County health order involve restaurants, bars

Columbia and Boone County’s health department adds a few changes to the current coronavirus health order.

The new order issued Thursday says people who visit restaurants and bars must remain seated at the table at all times unless they are entering, leaving the business, or going to the restroom. Also, there can be no more than 10 people in a party.

Those wanting to plan larger gatherings must get it approved by the health department 30 days in advance.

The order takes effect Monday and runs through the end of August.
