New Columbia city manager to be announced Monday afternoon

We’ll know who Columbia’s next city manager is by the end of the day Monday.

The Columbia city council plans a 4 o’clock announcement at city hall downtown. City spokeswoman Sydney Olsen tells 939 the Eagle that Columbia Mayor Brian Treece and the new city manager will speak at the briefing, which is open to the public.

Social distancing and masks are encouraged.

Current city manager John Glascock will retire on January 14.
