New coronavirus positives low in local counties; 21 more COVID-19 deaths statewide

Both Boone and Audrain counties confirmed one new coronavirus positive and fewer active cases Tuesday.

Boone is down to 35 active cases, while Audrain reported 32.

Callaway County confirmed two new cases Tuesday, with seven cases now active.

No new positives have been reported in Cole County for more than a week. The county has one active case. There were no new positives in Moniteau or Saline counties Tuesday either.

The state confirmed another 21 deaths from COVID-19 Tuesday, the highest daily count since May 30. That brings Missouri’s total deaths to 840. Another 179 Missourians have tested positive for coronavirus, bringing that total to 14,913.
