New Mizzou women’s basketball coach to be introduced at Monday press conference in Columbia

Mizzou officials are inviting fans to attend Monday morning’s press conference in Columbia where new Tiger women’s basketball coach Kellie Harper will officially be introduced.

UM System president Dr. Mun Choi, Mizzou athletics director Laird Veatch and others will speak at the 11 am press conference, which will take place in Mizzou Arena’s practice gym. The event is free and open to the public, and doors will open at 10:30 am. Basketball fans are encouraged to park in lot P. Mizzou officials will be in the parking lot to direct you to the practice gym.

Mr. Veatch describes Coach Harper as a proven winner and dynamic leader. The 47-year-old Harper has been a Division 1 head coach for 20 seasons, leading her teams to nine NCAA tournament appearances. She coached at Tennessee from 2019-2024 and coached at Missouri State in Springfield from 2013-2019.

Mizzou fans can listen to live coverage of the press conference on Zimmer’s KTGR (FM 100.5 and 105.1 and AM 1580). Brad Tregnago and Kathy Wiesen will anchor coverage on the Tiger Network. Mr. Tregnago is the voice of Mizzou women’s basketball.
